How to book a class:
There are a few ways to go about setting up a group class. *(This is primarily referring to competition or fundamentals classes)
The easiest path is to host a class in conjunction with a match. Essentially, I’ll coordinate with match staff & the range to decide whether a class before the match, after, or both, would work best (this is largely dependent on demand, bay availability, and prop/equipment availability). Then, I’ll set up a practiscore link to handle registration and payment on my end. To market these classes, match staff will send out a practiscore email (or emails) directly to the competitors, solely about the class, as well as posting about it on match social media. Likewise, I will post about the class (as well as promoting the match) via my social media, practiscore page, & mailing list. For classes held after a match, I’ll select 2-4 stages to be left up from the match and use them for the class, then the students and I will tear those stages down at the conclusion of the class.
If we’re setting up a standalone match, the first step is to find a suitable range: one that allows paid training, is not cost-prohibitive, and has the space & props to accommodate such a class. Most ranges will require proof of insurance and to be listed as an additionally insured entity, which is not a problem.
After that, we need to market to your local region’s shooters. Word of mouth directly from you (the class organizer) to friends, at local matches, social media shooting groups etc. Often times, ranges will also help advertise a class in order to bring in more shooters, because typically that means more fees for the range, and they become more likely to attract users in the future. I will also market the class via my social media, practiscore page, & mailing list.
There are two main ways we can handle registration and payment for a standalone class not associated with a match. The first is that we agree to a lump sum fee for the class, and whether 3 people or 12 people show up, the cost of the class is divided amongst them. That would be handled on your end, and I would require 50% of the class fee at least 30 days prior to the date of the class to book travel, then the other 50% upon the conclusion of the class. The cost per person is variable with this method, but cost varies directly proportionally with the individual interaction value.
The second approach is that I set up the class as a match on practiscore, and people sign up like they would for a match. Once we reach the minimum threshold of registrants to move forward with the class, I will approve everyone and accept payment. Again, this needs to occur at least 30 days prior to the class for me to book travel.

I look forward to seeing you on the range!
